PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Nex Flow™ manufactures econmical Air amplifiers that are low cost, rugged devices with no moving parts and virtually zero maintenance. Air Amplfieirs are used to convey fumes, smoke, materials that are light weigh. They move a high volume of air that create and “amplified” high velocity outlet flow for cooling using the wind chill effect, for blowoff of liquid, dirt and for all kinds of drying applications. They use something called the “Coanda effect” which entrains a large amount of surrounding atmospheric air by utilizing only a fraction of compressed air as a source of power. The effect is an amplified air flow of up to 17 times the inlet air, or more (depending on the size of the unit an inlet pressure) with reduced noise levels due to the converting of energy nornally lost as pressure drop and noise, into useful, high velocity flow..

Air Movers as they are sometimes called, or Air Amplifiers are annular units that take in a large amount of atmospheric air from the rear of the amplfieir (as well as downstream entrainment)m to move this air boosted by the small amount of compressed air. As a result they become efficient flow amplifiers. The force produced for blow off diminsihes as the outlet diameter increases but for cooling, they are excellent and significntly more effective than air nozzles in energy conversion and nosie reduction. Because the air is drawn in from the back, they are also used for gas venting applications, whether it is atmopheric air, or any other gas or gas mixture. They can move fore example a large volume of dust or fumes from a given area.. There must be a “balance” between the air flow tht is amplified (or entrained) and the outletvelocity. An Air Amplifier “amplification ratio” (air out right at the exit/air input from the compressed air supply) from 6 to 17 to perform properly (6 being a small amplifier and 17 for larger sizes) because if the ratio is too large, and becasue you are moving “still air”, the velocity would decrease too much and ther blow off force would become ineffective. Without adequate velocity, you will not get uneffectivet force for blow off, and inadequate velocty for cooling. Standard (Fixed) Air Amplifiers

The Nex Flow low cost Standard Air Amplifier is not only easy to mount and maintain, but they are efficient and quiet. They reduce both compressed air consumption and noise levels signficantly by converting pressure drop and nosie into useful, high velocity output flow. The energy from a small volume of compressed air draws in a high volume of atomospheric air to produce a high velocity, high volume, low-pressure but high energy output air flow. Our Air Amplifiers are both quiet and powerful. They can amplify flows up to 17 times their air consumption rate depemding on the diameter of the unit.

Adjustable Air Amplifiers

The adjustable Air Amplifier is made of either anodized aluminum or of Stainless Steel for high temperature and/or corrosive environments and for food and pharmaceutical applications. Theybare similar in oepration to Standard Air Amplifiers except the customer can set the gap for the flow and force and velocity they need and then and lock it in place using a lock ring that is part of the system. They are used for a variety of applications. Adjustable Air Amplifiers take energy from a small volume of compressed air, then entraining atmospheric air to produce high velocity, high volume, low pressure output airflow. It is quiet, efficient and can amplify flows up to 17 times the input air consumption rate.
